Palinode Lamp (2026)
 
One-of-one functional artwork. The lamp features a galvanized steel base paired with a stained glass shade composed of 92 individually cut pieces of glass, including vintage and specialty iridescent glass. Embedded throughout the shade are fragments of found and self-produced imagery, original photographs, and custom digital designs.
 
The imagery explores recurring themes of heaven and transformation. Throughout the piece are photographs from St. Mark's Basilica in Venice and Gaudí's Casa Vicens in Barcelona, the repeated figure of Lucy (the ancient hominin skeleton), flowers from my garden, morphing symbols, and other visual fragments gathered and developed over the past year.
 
Each lamp is assembled entirely by hand and intended to function both as a usable light source and a sculptural object.
 
Includes braided fabric cord with inline switch, 40W LED bulb, and one replacement bulb.
